Aerospace

The aerospace chemical milling and photo etching industry comprises companies producing aircraft, space vehicles, aircraft engines, propulsion units, and related parts. Aircraft overhaul, rebuilding, and conversion are also included. At Shimifrez we believe that building prototypes of newly designed products, run tests and experiments, and perform a variety of other technical tasks before mass production is crucial. Chemical Milling removes surface-related materials of the part before the etching process takes place.

our

Process

The process starts with a CAD file that is used to create a  photo-tool. Top and bottom patterns of the metal that is supposed to be milled are designed , after which the metal will undergo preparing and degreasing. This preparation is necessary for application of photoresist, which is used to transfer the desired pattern by UV light and developers.
